Little Drummer Boy

I have been listening to sermons from a church out west called LifeChurch.tv for a long time now. They have a very unique way of presenting the Gospel and discipling believers.

Pastor Matt forwarded me this video and I had to share it with you. So cool.

Pecan Sale helpers needed!

This Saturday, Nov 10th we need helpers both morning and afternoon to help take pecan orders to cars in the parking lot. We have helped every year. This U.M.W. event brings in a lot of funds, and the ladies help our ministry every time we ask, so…. show your support back and help them out .

If you’re available Friday eve 5-7 you can work your muscles helping to unload the pecan truck!

This Sunday!

Hey Gang!

Just a quick note to let you know what’s happening this Sunday. Many of you are curious week to week what kind of crazy thing we will be doing. I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date. I'm also open to suggestions for competitions and themes we might use in the future.

This Sunday.... Egg Golf and Deep Sea Diving...

I can't tell you more than that. You wouldn't believe me if I told you the details. Come dressed to be a bit wet and maybe a bit messy too. It's hard to say....

I'll see you Sunday night at 5 p.m. in the gym. Don't be late.

NEXT WEEK: Red neck night - Yeeeee Haw!!!!!!!

Noel

Dear Friends,
In case you have not seen or heard, we had a very unexpected storm on Sunday night. We made it through that with minimum damages, but you can imagine there were a few roofs taken off. On Monday night the rains started and never stopped. Bombita was evacuated in the early hours of Tuesday and was flooded within one hour. Two days later, La Hoya flooded. This had never happened before in La Hoya. Everyone is astounded.
The waters have subsided in Bombita and we will begin our clean up on Monday. Our losses are not as great as we first thought, thank God though there is total loss in the village.
La Hoya is a different story. We are still under water up to our roofs. (Yes, ours as I live there as well.) The school, the clinic, the volunteers houses, the COPA office and every house in the village is under water! The water keeps rising and has no where to go. They tell us we must simply wait. Never been one of my strong suits!
Please keep us in your prayers as we try to cope and to help others cope and then rebuild!

An amazing night of crazy scavenger hunt action. Congratulations to Team Soule for taking the big win! Thanks again to Brian for his devious planning and execution. Also, we couldn't have pulled this off without the efforts of a lot of brave parent volunteers as drivers and co-ordinators at the stops.

Don't forget REDNECK NIGHT on November 18th!

Summer Mission Trips Update

Michael has changed the deadline to February so we can meet our goal of 30 High School and 30 Middle School students on mission this summer.

We will be doing two more major fund raisers (Rummage Sale in February) (Silent Auction in April) plus, you can still do a letter writing campaign to earn funds for your trip.

These are life changing trips. Full of purpose and fun. Please plan your summer to include them. Talk to your parents now so they don’t plan vacations on the same dates.

Middle school – St Petersburg – June 22- June 27

High School – Tennessee - July 25 – Aug 3

Pick up a flyer at any weekly event!
