Thinking about summer camp? You may still be able to get into a July slot, but they're going fast! If you haven't used your S.T.R.I.V.E. dollars yet this may be your last opportunity. Go to www.umsummercamp.org Any unused S.T.R.I.V.E. dollars from 06/07 year will be deposited into our general mission trip scholarship found to be used to help students go on future mission trips. Next year S.T.R.I.V.E. dollars can only go toward mission trips due to tax deduction rules.

HELP NEEDED!

We need your help. The church maintains a food pantry to help the homeless and families in need. Every now and then we need help restocking. This is one of those times. There is a lot of bare shelves in there which means there is very little to give to those in need.

Fill up a bag from your own pantry, ask some neighbors or go to the grocery store. These are the things that we need the most:
Peanut Butter and Jelly (we were hit hard by the recall)
Macaroni and cheese
Soup
Canned veggies
Non-perishable foods
Rice
Snack foods

Basicly anything non-perishable that can help a hungry family. Items for the homeless are best to require no preparation and not require a can opener.

You have risen to the occasion in the past and we need your help again. Please bring these items with you for Wednesday night worship or to Sunday morning or evening programs.

Thannks again for all your help.

Leesburg Summer Camp!

June 11th-16th are the dates that we’ve chosen to try and group up to go to camp. Leesburg offers camps for all ages.  The Children’s Ministry has also chosen that week to make it convenient for families to coordinate transportation etc…

The church no longer has vans ,  so car pooling is the way to go.

You may go any week that’s available.  To check out all the info and to sign up go to: www.umsummercamp.org

If you participated in S.T.R.I.V.E. or any other fund raiser please let me know that you plan to got to camp ASAP  so I can allocate dollars properly.  Please feel free to email me with any questions.

If you need additional fund raising help, let me know.  Children's Ministry is offering an additional way to earn your way to camp that they are graciously opening up to 6th-12th graders also.

Silent Auction info

Have you talked with anyone about a donation?  Your parents probably know a few people who would donate something.  Some people are donating craft items that they have made,  Some are donating collector items,  some gift certificates, others product or service certificates…. Don’t be a couch potato Christian,  get out of your normal routine,  maybe even out of your comfort zone. Talk it up!  This auction helps send people either on a mission trip or to summer camp. Either place helps build up people and draw them closer to Christ.  Be a part of it,  even if you don’t plan to participate in a trip,  you make a difference by supporting those who are going. Questions?? Call me
