New Stuff You Need to Know

The Great Pumpkin Chase is Tomorrow Night! Big stuff. There has been a lot of smack talk going on in the world of the Student Ministries. It has been a lot of fun listening to leaders posture about their supreme skills in navigating and their teams great mental acuity.

If you haven't signed up yet, you have a couple of options.

#1 Grab a group of friends and an adult driver and jump in as a team of your own.

#2 Jump in with a team that is already established and has some space left

#3 You can come to the chase and get connected with one of our open drivers that night.

See you at the chapel at 5 p.m.

All Hiz,

Michael

Apologies

If you have seen this lately there was a crazy post in here that I had not seen go up. Someone must have hacked into the account and posted a pretty crazy sounding scheme. Lots of password changes to keep the crazies out!

Sunday Morning!

Hey, I wanted to drop you a quick not and remind you about the Sunday morning students service. We had a ton of people there last week and it was awesome. The band is ready to rock and Troy has cooked up an awesome message for you. It is going to be really cool and you should be there! 9:29 a.m. in the Chapel. Don't be late, you might miss something...

Also, if you haven't signed up to be in a Student Ministries Small Group, drop me a note and I will help connect you with the 10 we have started or start a new one for you. These groups will meet throughout the week in different locations all over. Our goal is for EVERY student in the ministry to be a part of these small communities so they can experience deep friendship, caring, growth and service with a group of believers. Small groups is where we grow the best and build our faith strongest. God uses our relationships to draw us together and to Him. Pretty cool.

If you signed up (or think you might have)  and haven't heard from your small group leader, drop me a note as well. I can make sure you get connected!

We still have a few spots left for Rock the Universe. This is an amazing weekend for our students and adults alike. We meet Saturday morning, drive over to Orlando to spend a part of the day at the Hard Rock Hotel's pool. At 3 we head over to Universal Studios to spend the rest of the afternoon riding rides, having fun and hanging out. That night the park clears out of tourists and it's just the Rock the Universe people, students and leaders from all over the state and even beyond. The concerts will start rockin' after that and the rides keep rolling (sorry, I had to do it...) till midnight. You can see Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Jars of Clay, Stellar Kart, Leeland, Beautiful Republic and Special D in concert. As a bonus, Head formerly of Korn will be speaking about his life change and new found faith. (I can't wait to hear that, so cool...)

After the concerts we wander back to our hotel and crash for the night. We will be going to a special service at Universal on Sunday morning (very casual) before we grab a breakfast buffet on the way back home. We are back at the church by 3 p.m.

It's a weekend you don't want to miss! Drop me a note if you want to go or know more about it.

SEE YOU SUNDAY MORNING!!

Small Groups

We are encouraging EVERY student in or church to be involved in a Small Group. These groups will be meeting throughout the community on various days of the week. If you haven't signed up to be in one, fill out the small group interest form in the newsletter and turn it in and we will find a group that works for your schedule, interests and grade.

Monthly BIG STUPH

Each month we will have a large group gathering of our students for a special event. These include our kick off night and concert, Rock the Universe, Whipped Cream Night and many more. See the calendar for more details.

Return From Nashville

It has been an amazing week in Nashville and we are on our way home.
There has been a lot of silliness and laughing along the way. Can't
wait to share the stories and photos with you all.
